SDMT’S Danigond College of Nursing, Terdal under Danigond Group of Institutes, Terdal was started in the year 2019-20 with an intention of providing quality Nursing education to the aspirants surrounding Terdal who had to travel long ways. Under the able guidance and leadership of our Hon’ble Chairman Dr.Mahaveer S Danigond and the Managing Director Dr.Pushpadant M Danigond and a group of good team members.

The college got started with an intake of 40, affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and Karnataka State Nursing Council, recognized by Government of Karnataka. The college got approval by the Indian Nursing Council in the year 2022-23. The college is affiliated for the clinical practice to our own 100 bedded multispecialty parent hospital –SDMT’S Padma Hospital, Terdal and other hospitals too.

The college has got the finest infrastructures with all the latest teaching aids and full pledged laboratories which aid in clinical practice sessions and simulations. The most positive and promising aspect of the institution is the presence of highly qualified and super experienced teaching faculty, available round the clock. The whole of the campus is under the CCTV surveillance making it a safe and secured place for the students. The college has got a vast library with over 2500 text books and a number of National and International Journals with internet facilities round the clock for the students and the faculties making them updated with latest professional trends. The campus includes well-furnished hostels, separate for boys and girls with indoor and outdoor sports facilities which includes cricket, volleyball, throwball, kabaddi, kho-kho and many more such sports creating an environment of enthusiasm, participation, competition, team spirit, confidence, creativity and overall growth and development.

The first batch of B.Sc Nursing students successfully completed their course in the year 2024-2025 and have got placement in different positions and places of Karnataka and even in other states.

It was then when the college applied for an increase intake of seats for B.Sc Nursing, from 40 to 60 and for the PG ( M.Sc Nursing ) in 3 specialties namely Medical Surgical Nursing, OBG Nursing and Community Health Nursing and successfully got approval for the same for the academic year 2025-26.
